I feel the blanket takes the one truly optimistic drawing I did during this past year and transforms it into an object of comfort and joy. It’s an ideal souvenir of a year many of us would rather forget. Despite the trauma and isolation we’ve experienced, I’d like to think we’ve learned so much about ourselves and the world around us and we should continue to be curious and educate ourselves. After going through this collective experience we need to embrace everything life has to offer because we need to believe, now more than ever, that everything’s gonna be ok.
