Created during the long months of the pandemic and before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, this mixed media piece was a reflection of where Britain was in the eyes of the artist. The post Brexit landscape, the closing years of the second Elizabethan age. Hope, optimism in short supply and a country heading towards an identity crisis. A mad little island which still clings onto ideas of empire instead of focussing on a better future…
